Third Annual Soulard Oktoberfest

ImageEvent organizers are tripling the fun this year at the 3rd Annual Soulard Oktoberfest. Building on last year's phenomenal success, organizers have added a third headlining act to the musical roster for this year's Soulard Oktoberfest. In addition, the event will offer more attractions and activities to appeal to all age groups.

From carnival rides to a Family Strassen with booths decorated and manned by local high school German club members, there will something to keep everyone entertained. Sample a section of the world's largest brat and other taste treats.

Image German music is a must at Soulard Oktoberfest and this year's festival will offer authentic German music all day and all night including: Two time Grammy winners, Brave Combo, who will be back for two nights on Friday and Saturday; America's number one German band, die Schlauberger, who will perform Friday and Saturday night in the German Tent; and The Haarbruecker Brass band, direct from Germany.

As St. Louis' most authentic German festival, there will be plenty of German and domestic beers available for festival patrons along with sumptuous German foods. Festival-goers are also invited to experience the Great Killepitsch Taste-Off and judge for themselves which is the best German liqueur: Killepitsch or Jagermeister.

ImageTwo Time Grammy Winners, Brave Combo, who wowed the crowds with a dance-till-they-were dizzy assortment of polkas, rock, pop and more last year, will be back for two nights on Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7 in the Anhueser-Busch Tent. ImageIf you experienced Brave Combo's irresistible polka party last year, you know what to expect from America's premier dance band and if you didn't, make sure to catch them at the 3rd Annual Soulard Oktoberfest.

America's number one German band, die Schlauberger, has declared bringing authentic German music to all age groups their mission. They will perform Friday and Saturday night in the German Tent. die Schlauberger has delighted audiences across America with their upbeat, can't resist sound and will be a welcome addition to the Soulard Oktoberfest entertainment roster.

Rounding out the headlining acts is The Haarbrueker Brass band, direct from Germany. This 28 piece brass band is sure to please the entire family. In addition, local musical acts will perform throughout the three day event.

ImageThe Third Annual Soulard Oktoberfest is presented by the Soulard Oktoberfest Benevolent Association, which is a 501c3 organization. Proceeds from this year's event will go to area charities and to fund educational pursuits.
